PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Eight individuals assigned to Peterson AFB received Articles 15 during the fourth quarter of 2013. The Airmen were punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

A first lieutenant from the 544th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group received an Article 15 for GTC misuse. The lieutenant's punishment was a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 721st Security Forces Squadron received an Article 15 for failure to go, absent without leave and going without authority from their place of duty. The senior airman's punishment was a reduction to E-3, seven days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 721st SFS received an Article 15 for absent without leave, failure to go and disrespect to a senior noncommissioned officer. The senior airman's punishment was a suspended reduction to E-3, 16 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 821st Support Squadron received an Article 15 for failure to obey a lawful order. The senior airman's punishment was a reprimand.

A staff sergeant from 21st Dental Squadron received an Article 15 for failure to go and false official statement. The staff sergeant's punishment was reduction to E-4 and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 821st SFS received an Article 15 for failure to obey a lawful order. The punishment was a suspended reduction to E-2, suspended forfeitures of $396, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 52nd Airlift Squadron received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty. The senior airman's punishment was a reduction to E-3, suspended forfeitures of $1,007 per month for two months and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 21st Medical Operations Squadron received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty and false official statement. The senior airman's punishment was a reduction to E-3 and a reprimand.

(Note: A suspended punishment means the action (whether loss of rank or pay) is suspended for a period of time -- usually six months. If the individual does not get in more trouble during that time, then everything stays as it is. However, if the individual gets in trouble during the suspension period, then the commander can vacate the suspension and "take" the rank or pay.)
