Breakfast open to all Team Pete

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Breakfast at the Aragon Dining Facility is now open to all eligible users of Peterson Air Force Base, effective immediately.

Anyone with access to the base can now purchase breakfast at the dining facility, including officers, family members, retirees, Department of Defense and Non-appropriated fund civilians and contractors as there are no other facilities on base that offer breakfast, said Tech. Sgt. Terrence Williams, 21st Force Support Squadron assistant dining facility manager.

"There is no other NAF-operated facility that (the 21st Force Support Squadron) operates that provides breakfast," said Staff Sgt. Catherine Leahy, 21st FSS storeroom NCOIC. "We have opened it up to everyone else. The golf course, bowling alley and the Club all provide other lunch and dinner-like options for DoD contractors and civilians, but there was nothing for breakfast."

As more and more people learn about the availability of breakfast, Leahy said to expect breakfast lines to increase slightly, but the menu and the hours will remain the same.

The typical breakfast menu includes: baked sausage links, grilled turkey patty, grilled turkey or turkey bacon, bacon, creamed beef, french toast, pancakes, biscuits, potatoes or hashed browns, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, omelets, grits, oatmeal, and breakfast burritos.

The Aragon breakfast hours are: 6 - 7:30 a.m Monday-Friday, 7-8 a.m. weekends (and holidays) and 6-7:30 a.m. on reserve weekends.

All in all, Airmen can expect to see new faces and slightly longer lines in the dining facility for breakfast, but everything should transition smoothly, said Williams.

"We're all for it because it benefits everyone on the installation," Leahy said.
