CE civilian receives 'green' award

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Phil Chase, 21st Civil Engineer Squadron pollution prevention and solid waste program manager, received the Excellence in Sustainable Resources award Nov. 18 at the Colorado Sustainability Conference in Colorado Springs. Among Chase’s accomplishments is a base recycling program with an 80 percent diversion rate keeping an estimated 5,000 tons of material out of landfills annually.
