OSS captures Gold Knight award

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The 21st Operations Support Squadron Phobos-Grunt team was named the January Gold Knight award winner.

The team coordinated with the Joint Space Operations Center and space situational awareness units to provide high fidelity tracking of the Phobos-Grunt spacecraft as it re-entered the atmosphere Jan. 15. The team developed a cohesive mission plan, briefed leadership, and captured 15 lessons learned after the event.

Team members include: Capt. Blake Hoagland, Capt. Jason Bullock, 1st Lt. Adam Jodice, Tech. Sgt. Teri Freemen, Staff Sgt. Joseph Hanson, Senior Airman Vanessa Tolliver and Airman 1st Class Joshua Weir.
