Space Observer delivery changes

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Beginning with the Dec. 6 edition, base housing residents will notice a change in the Space Observer newspaper delivery.

With the opening of the new community center, the Space Observer will no longer be delivered to base housing, but instead will be available at the new community center, located at 650 McChord St. in Building 1089, just north of the Stewart Avenue traffic circle.

The change is in response to base housing officials and base residents asking that the newspaper no longer be delivered to housing.

"Too many times base residents do not pick up the newspaper from their driveway and the Colorado winds quickly turn it into litter," said Joey Sanchez, Housing Management chief. "We are listening to their request and working with public affairs to change delivery to make Peterson a better place to live."

The 21st Space Wing Public Affairs Office will increase distribution to several other key locations around housing, including The Exchange, commissary and the shoppette, to meet the demand for those wanting a copy of the paper.
