PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The 21st Medical Group National Committee for Quality Assurance Accreditation preparation team won the February Gold Knight award.

During the inspection, the 21st MDG dominated its high ground and was awarded "Level III" recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance - the committee's top honor, for near-flawless performance in more than 300 compliance and focus areas.

Team members include Lt. Col. Terence Mitchell, Majs. Jane Free and Stephen Mathis, Capts. Kristen Oster and Michelle Lempke, and Katherine Wilson.

The medical group was one of only two Air Force military treatment facilities to receive a Level III rating.
